Tai Pan, located in the heart of Liverpool, has carved out a niche as a premier destination for authentic Cantonese and Hong Kong-style cuisine. Renowned for its exceptional dim sum, customers rave about the crispy fried varieties, particularly bouilling dishes such as 芋角 and 咸水角 that keep diners coming back for more. Michael Ngai describes it as a “good authentic” establishment, and the sentiment is echoed by KC Chutima, who appreciates the consistent quality and swift service. What sets Tai Pan apart is not just the food, but the overall dining experience. Darren Cheng praises the impressive variety and authentic flavors, noting the attentive service that enhances the meal. Simon Kolanowski, a visiting Australian, was pleasantly surprised by the phenomenal food, stating it’s possibly the best Chinese meal he’s ever had. Even though Trang Le found some language barriers with the staff, she still relished the well-flavored dishes that left her delightfully full. In summary, Tai Pan represents the essence of genuine Chinese dining in Liverpool, ideal for anyone seeking savory dishes and a warm atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, the delightful dim sum and robust flavors will undoubtedly exceed your expectations.

Tai Pan offers a delightful dim sum experience. The variety of dishes served was impressive, and the flavours were authentic and delicious. The service was prompt and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Tai Pan for anyone looking for a great dim sum spot.

I am an Australian so was only visiting Liverpool, and truthfully wasn’t expecting too much - I just wanted a nice, Chinese meal for lunch. Tai Pan exceeded my expectations, as the food was phenomenal. Dare I say the best Chinese I’ve ever had. The service was quick, food was out fast; the food coma came very shortly after. I definitely recommend this venue.

The restaurant was half full on a Tuesday noon. The staff greeted us at the reception and guided us to a table. Serving staff is kind of in a rush and has limited English communication skill therefore it could affect your dining experience. Food otherwise are delicious and well flavoured, not too salty or oily. We ordered a wide array of plates and dim sums and we left the restaurant very full.

Had an absolutely lovely meal here this afternoon. We got there about 30 minutes after it had opened and it was already full, which to me was a good sign instantly. This restaurant was so clean and upon entering you are greeted with such a beautiful water feature. As you climb the stairs you see the most stunning chandelier you have ever seen. The level of service is amazing from the staff who are all very friendly and attentive. You are not rushed at all. You are taken to your table and seated and asked instantly if you would like any drinks while you look through the menu. Drinks are served quickly and they give you time to look over the menu. Once ordered the food is delivered hot and very tasteful. I had no problems at all with anything from today at all. My only little fault I had is that there are quite a few stairs to climb, I didnt notice or ask if they was any disabled access sorry but I am sure you could phone to enquire if needed. They also have a separate room for larger tables and parties too. Supermarket is also just underneath the restaurant so handy to buy something from there after your meal. Plenty of food to choose from in freezers and they even sell dishes and pans etc there too. Well worth a trip in my opinion. Big car park which is disabled friendly as is the supermarket also.

Always busy and it's a favorite with Chinese families too, so can't be too bad. It's a big restaurant with plenty of parking. There's a Chinese supermarket underneath the restaurant too. Lots of choice from English menu and Chinese menu. The staff will help you. We had dim sum with a few extra chinese dishes. Prices reasonable. Been quite a few times and never been disappointed.

Easy access via lift for wheelchair users and clean disabled toilet available. Service was very polite and food presented well, large portions which were extremely tasty, very much recommended. Early Lunch time visit on a Saturday and becoming very busy 80% full. Price is right with the quality of food!
